Clashing Wills - Part 1

The will is a powerful force. "Use the Force, Luke." The Star Wars' use of that unknown "force" isn't too far off, if you consider that the real power came from their will. God gave us a will (our soul), to strive, survive, and thrive. If we didn't have that drive to press on, overcome, and conquer then we wouldn't have survived. But it's that same will that stands in opposition to God, and his will. When mankind looks around himself, and considers what he accomplished with his own hands (technology in medicine, communication, transportation, etc), the pride in his heart wells up into arrogance, deception, and blindness. For you see, the will is not only a very powerful - necessary - force, but also a very deceptive one.
