The Church, Organization or Organism? (part 1)
We run the church like a business today. We've taken over the leadership of this company, called the Church. We've handed over the administration of the church to men. We've squeezed the Spirit out of his role in the church. It's a grave and dangerous transformation. We have taken the church - the true Church, God's Church - from Organism to Organization. The church in our day is no longer a living, breathing body of Christ. It is now a company run by men who want to control, manipulate and direct the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit. Why has this happened? Because our natural instinct is to control everything around us, including what is not ours to control, namely, the church. At the center of man's heart is himself, and when
