Employment-based Ministry...
I don't agree with Employment-based Ministry. It all just seems so unnatural for the organic Church. But who am I to argue with the accepted pattern of doing things in the church?! Obviously it's holy and right...right? Shouldn't it be? Wouldn't it be? We think it is; we live like it is; so why shouldn't and wouldn't it be? Man, why does the church look so mamby-pamby nowadays? Why aren't we radical anymore? Why are we so political and business-lookin' nowadays? Why do we treat life and sin with kid gloves nowadays? Why aren't we harsh with sin, our society, and ourselves anymore? Have we not lost the Spirit? Just why DON'T we question ourselves anymore? "Is what we're doing right?" Why don't we ask these kind of radical questions? Why don't we allow ourselves to think that perhaps, just perhaps, we're not right in what we're doing? Why not? Why can't we? Are we that blind? Are we that complacent? Do we really think that everything is great with the church today? Have we finally accepted the pattern of things now? I'm afraid so.
